Here, we have a very interesting comparison of two magical people yet in drastically different ways.

Check out the ties in the second photo.  Pretty much the same.

I survived!

So, Basic Military Training (BMT) is over.  I finished on Monday, Sept 5 by flying home for a couple of hours.  Long enough to hop in my car and drive up to Washington, D.C. where I signed into Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling; my permanent station.

Everyone has been really nice and helpful so far.  I’ve still got some in-processing to finish up but then I’ll be a more active member of the Ceremonial Brass.  I’m really looking forward to playing with the group and learning all of the ins-and-outs of the daily grind.  I am also very excited to play my trombone again after not having the opportunity to at BMT.

If you have any questions about my experience at BMT, just post a comment and I’ll respond.  I have a lot of stories from my time there and will be happy to share if you want.

It’s good to be in the real world again and to be able to play trombone again!
